About Max
Max is a powerful, athletic Belgian Malinois with a strong working background. He is a high-drive dog who loves spending time with his owners and is extremely loyal to them.
He has a protective instinct without being excessively aggressive. When people visit the house he can be social, although he may sometimes show dominant behaviour by blocking people.
Max is highly motivated to work and ready to respond when asked. His owner describes him as having a good off-switch at home — he can settle and relax when it is time to do so.
At approximately 45 kg he is a substantial, powerful dog, and according to his owner he comes from a strong line of KNPV police dogs.
Is Max right for your home?
- Needs an owner who understands working-line Belgian Malinois and can provide confident handling, daily exercise, mental stimulation and structure.
- High drive and protective instincts — he is not suited to every household.
- May block visitors at home, so guests need to be managed.
- His suitability around children, other dogs and other animals has not been confirmed — please ask us before enquiring if this matters for your home.
